I really liked the story as such, and the setting in particular. It was easy to guess very early on what Fliss and Seth's story was all about, though, so it didn't have to be drawn out for so long. I also liked the characters except... the heroine. By the end of the book I still hadn't warmed up to her. The way she constantly went on and on and on about what was wrong with her, and why she wasn't a good person started grating on my nerves very early on in the book, and it never stopped. I really couldn't get myself to feel with and for Fliss, so while the book as such was entertaining, especially the support cast, it's not more than a 3 star book for me, maybe even just 2.5 . I feel that if I hadn't read the book I wouldn't have missed anything.
Ich liebe alle Bücher von Sarah Morgan und kann es daher nicht abwarten,bis sie auf Deutsch erscheinen. Liest sich super, die Geschichte von Fliss und Seth ist mitreißend und passt perfekt zum Sommer. Perfekte Auszeit, wie auch die anderen Bücher der New York-Reihe.
I really enjoyed this lovely book. Seth and Fliss are heartmelting and handsome. The story was a nice read. I couldn't put it down. I really love the books from this author. And Holidays in the Hamptons absolutly convinced me. Please read and enjoy this book.
I quite struggled to read on because of the main protagonist and the endless wading in old problems and repetitions....I hope the next one will be up to her previous standards....
